Contest

I am looking for a little help, here:
When I go to Silver Falls for the knitting retreat, I am supposed to bring a couple of items for a Show and Tell. I am having a difficult time deciding what to take. Yes, I know that it is almost a month away, but I love to plan well in advance. In fact, the planning is part of what makes the fun of the weekend start sooner. I have already been working on what to take the Silent Auction that they have each year. I’ll probably take with me much of what is on my Trade or Sell page on Ravelry. I’d love to sell the balls of yarn that aren’t enough to make a larger project. I might even sell enough to be able to buy a larger lot of one yarn for sweater knitting! :) Well, back to the issue at hand…Please, help me out by going to my projects page on Ravelry and choosing your favorite finished project. If you leave me a comment on this post, I’ll draw a name for a special knitter’s package, on Monday, January 26th. That gives everyone a week to comment. I will pay the shipping to anywhere in the US only. (If you enter and are from outside the US, you would need to pay the difference between domestic and international shipping.)

I can only suggest one? Okay, Northwest Shawl. (But if I could suggest two, I'd also say any of the stranded mittens.) :)

BOY - that is hard! You have so many gorgeous knits!
If I had to pick one - I'm partial to mittens lately and Annemor #16 in red/white are spectacular. But I think you should bring an array - you need either Mystic Waters or Northwest Shawl /the Christmas Gloves and a few of those sweaters too :-)
I wish I was going on a knitting retreat!

Having labored over my first pair of gloves this holiday season, I'm most interested in your Christmas gloves. They're exquisite!

p.s. I've posted about your contest on WiKnit, my knitting contest blog

Wow! You do absolutely beautiful work. It's hard to pick... ok I like the Lace Cardigan and the Christmas gloves and the Pale pink stole. I love lace and colorwork. Thanks for the contest. Debbie

I suggest Gloves for Me because the fairisle is beautiful and I think most knitters make fairisle mittens. The extra fairisle work for each individual finger is really special.

You've made some gorgeous stuff. If I absolutely have to pick one, it would be the pale blue lace cardigan.

Project vote number 1 is the Northwest Shawl. Vote 2 is the Pale Pink Stole. Vote 3 is the Lace Cardigan. Can you tell I love beautiful lace? teehee The most important thing is to relax & have fun at the retreat.

Well I'm a sweater knitter and so, even though you aren't finished with it, I would bring along Morrigan. I love it.

Wow! Gorgeous FOs! My favorite is the Northwest Shawl though, it is really lovely.

I say the Snowmen & Skates, since your colorwork skills are excellent and it shows multiple techniques. But you've gotta bring one of your lace shawls, too. I'm impressed!

I have to say the pastel and black mittins! I LOVE those!

My favorite is the pale pink stole, but it looks like it was a gift. Next I was going to say the selbu mittens (which were also a gift.) I keep clicking on projects and they are for other people! Of the projects that you still have, I'm thinking I like the February Lady Sweater the best.
Since it's tell as well as show, I think you should also bring whatever project is special to you. Maybe you have one that has an interesting story with it.
Have fun at the retreat!

My, oh, my...there were so many beautiful pieces to pick from. I would have to say the Lace Cardigan and Mystic Waters, as I am very partial to lace at the moment.

I love all the mittens, but my very favorite are the pastel with black. Just gorgeous. Also the Xmas gloves are wonderful - bring them both!

i was 'blown away' by the simplicity of your auburn camp shirt (pattern by chrissy gardiner). it is certainly an item i would actually wear for it's nice lines, pretty collar and adorable buttons!

have fun on your retreat!

I love the lace cardigan - you should bring that!

I think I'd go with the Snowman and Skates project - It shows off your talent, and I really liked that it was your own pattern - not everyone (certainly not me!) can do that and have it turn out so beautifully! Secondly I'd choose any of your shawls - you've done a really nice job on all your projects! Thanks for the eye candy!

I can see how you're having trouble deciding -- you make gorgeous things! I think I love your pastel and black mittens the best, though. They're fantastic colorwork, but with just a bit of a twist on the traditional!

This is a really tough choice because you have so many great-looking things to choose from. I really love the pastel and black mitts and the Xmas gloves best, I think.

With so many to choose from, take them all. Oh no, that's not helpful.

I think my favorite is the pastel and black mittens.

My suggestion is to show your versatility and take one lace (I like the Northwest shawl best) and also one colorwork (and here I'd vote for the stunning pastel and black mittens) Have lots of fun!

I agree with Rachel. I really like the January Cardigan and if you have not finished the Feb Ladies you should.
